Shortcuts is a 2021 reissue of songs from two of JSB's studio releases, "Beautiful Dream" and "three.", cut and optimized for streaming on radio stations and music platforms. John Spignesi, Joe Jeffery, and Matt Alling carefully chose songs they felt best represented the band. The songs were then sent to radio stations all across the United States for streaming and airplay. The front cover depicts each song having a different haircut, a play on the word "shortcut."

For the release, the songs were remixed and mastered by longtime JSB collaborator and engineer of Ace Tone Productions, Matt Terribile.
